In a recent intelligence-led operation, the Operations Team of the Waterloo Police Division executed a targeted raid on Kono Park, located within the Bassa Town community in Waterloo.
The area, known for its significant presence of drug dealers, peddlers, and abusers, saw several ghettos demolished in a swift and coordinated action.
During the operation, a substantial quantity of illicit substances, including Kush and Tramadol, along with other narcotics, were discovered and subsequently seized by the Operations Team.
The drug dealers, peddlers, and abusers who fled upon the arrival of the police were unable to retain their illicit goods.
In a separate development, a 34-year-old individual identified as Gibril Sesay, who claimed to be a building contractor from the Sherbro Town community in Newton, found himself in police custody.
He was apprehended at the Newton (4 Mile) Police Post, within the Waterloo Division, after attempting to remove several steel windows and doors from a newly constructed and partially completed house.
