FREETOWN – Statistics Sierra Leone (Stats SL) has announced the opening of the recruitment portal for field personnel for the 2026 Sierra Leone Population and Housing Census.
According to Stats SL, the portal is now open and interested applicants should apply via the official recruitment link: https://recruit.statistics.sl
The institution said all genuine recruitment information and updates will only be communicated through its official channels. These include:

Stats SL is urging applicants to carefully verify the statistics.sl domain and to be cautious of fraudulent websites, phone numbers, email addresses and social media accounts claiming to represent the institution.
“Recruitment is FREE. Do not pay anyone for anything,” the agency warned, advising the public to be mindful of individuals or platforms claiming to offer recruitment assistance for a fee.
The institution also noted that printed copies of the official recruitment notice, including a QR code that links directly to the portal, will be displayed in public places across the country to facilitate access.
The 2026 Census is being held under the theme: “Leh Den Kont You Oh”.
