Young Sierra Leonean graduates now have a strong chance to gain top-level regional work experience. The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has opened applications for its 2027 Young Graduates Immersion Programme. This is a one-year, fully paid professional placement in ECOWAS institutions and agencies.
The call was published on 31 July 2026. ECOWAS is inviting dynamic young graduates who are citizens of member states, including Sierra Leone, to apply.
The official notice states: “Are you a dynamic young graduate and citizen of an ECOWAS Member State? Do you want to kick-start your career with an excellent professional experience in a regional institution? This is your opportunity!
“ECOWAS is officially accepting applications for its one-year, fully paid professional immersion program.
“This unique initiative allows young professionals to actively contribute to regional integration strategies while developing high-level skills alongside sector experts.”
Who can apply?
Applicants must:
– Be citizens of an ECOWAS member state (Sierra Leone qualifies)
– Be 32 years old or younger
– Hold a degree in a relevant field from a recognised institution
