A significant operation by the Harbour Police Division led to the arrest of 31-year-old Unisa Mansaray, known as Game, in a targeted raid at his residence located at 8 Alfred Street, Up Gun, Freetown’s East end.
The operation unveiled illegal possession of various types of Kush, intensifying the crackdown on drug circulation within the area.
Found in his bedroom during the raid, Mansaray vehemently denied any connections to the seized narcotics, claiming ignorance of their ownership.
“I do not know the owner of these drugs,” he stated, as he was taken into police custody along with the discovered substances.
Under the directive of LUC Kpulun, the Harbour Police Division is intensifying its efforts to combat the importation, distribution, and sale of illicit drugs, particularly Kush.
“Our focus is on the importers, the distributors, and the sales agents of illicit drugs. The Police of the Harbour Division under my leadership will leave no stone unturned in our efforts to rid illicit drugs and substance abuse within my area of responsibility,” Kpulun affirmed.
The arrest underscores a broader initiative by local law enforcement to address and mitigate drug-related issues in the community, signaling a firm stance against substance abuse and illegal drug trade.
The suspect remains in police custody as investigations proceed.
