Freetown, July 9, 2025 — A rented apartment on Savage Street, near St. John in Freetown, was engulfed in flames following a shocking incident involving a teenage girl allegedly setting the home on fire after a disagreement with her mother.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred after the mother confiscated the girl’s mobile phone, citing concerns that her daughter was spending too much time on her boyfriend and neglecting her studies. Tensions reportedly escalated, leading to the girl’s drastic action.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, the apartment sustained extensive damage, with most belongings destroyed in the blaze.
