In a coordinated intelligence operation early Tuesday morning, March 26, 2024, a joint task force from the harbor police divisions apprehended Ibrahim Conteh, known as “Erifo,” the notorious drug lord of Kelson Lane, Ferry Dockyard in Freetown’s east end.
Conteh, 40, was found in possession of numerous sachets of kush and 132 wraps of kush, along with a significant quantity of cannabis sativa, also known as “jamba.”
Simultaneously, in a related operation, the harbor police division’s operations team apprehended four prominent drug kingpins operating at the Peace Market in Ferry Junction.
Among those arrested was the elusive 24-year-old Saffiatu Jalloh and her associates. The team confiscated a substantial amount of kush and cannabis sativa during the raid.
The arrests mark a significant victory for law enforcement in combating drug trafficking in the region.
