The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) has reported that severe weather in Bumbuna and Freetown has led to significant disruptions in the city’s electricity supply.
Residents are experiencing frequent power outages as a result.
EDSA is collaborating with personnel at the Bumbuna Power Dam and the Freetown 161 Station to coordinate efforts between Karpowership and Bumbuna, aiming for a more efficient power distribution system.
The authority has assured the public that electricity services will be restored as soon as possible.
In addition to power issues, the heavy rains have caused localized flooding, strong currents in open drains and under bridges, and have affected road conditions throughout Freetown.
