The government of Sierra Leone has announced that the pilgrimage cost to the sacred land of Mecca for the year 2024 has been set at $7,500 USD or its equivalent in Sierra Leone Leones.
The government made this announcement in a press release issued today, 12 December 2023.
According to the notice, prospective pilgrims, both domestic and international, are urged to follow these guidelines:
1. Visit the Presidential Hajj Task Force Secretariat at the Old Gym House, Bank of Sierra Leone Complex, Kingtom, to obtain and submit application forms along with a passport valid for at least one year before the intended travel date.
2. Complete the necessary screening at the Secretariat and obtain a payment slip for depositing funds into the National Pilgrimage Account at Sierra Leone Commercial Bank. Account details are as follows:

3. Return the pay-in slip to the Hajj Secretariat to receive further instructions.
4. All prospective pilgrims are required to make payments on or before Monday, April 1, 2024.
