Freetown, 23 June 2025 — The Presidential Hajj Taskforce has officially released the arrival schedule for Sierra Leonean pilgrims returning from the 2025 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
According to the Taskforce, the first group of pilgrims is expected to arrive at the Freetown International Airport (FIA) on Tuesday, 24th June 2025 at 9:20 p.m. The second batch will follow on Wednesday, 25th June 2025 at 5:25 p.m., subject to flight departures from Jeddah.
Upon arrival, pilgrims will be shuttled from the airport terminal to Targrin and then ferried to Government Wharf in central Freetown, where relatives are encouraged to gather and welcome their loved ones.
The Taskforce has also announced that all luggage will be distributed at the Bank Complex parking lot on the following dates:
* Wednesday, 25th June (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)** – for pilgrims in the first batch
* Thursday, 26th June (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) – for pilgrims in the second batch
