The Presidential Hajj Task Force has officially opened registration for Sierra Leoneans seeking to perform the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, with the cost set at US$7,000 per pilgrim.
According to the Task Force, prospective pilgrims have until Friday, October 30, 2026, to complete the registration process.
Applicants are required to personally collect registration forms from the Presidential Hajj Task Force Secretariat at the Old Gym House, Bank of Sierra Leone Complex, Kingtom, Freetown.
A valid National ID card must be presented when collecting the form.
Completed forms must also be submitted in person, together with a passport that has at least one year of validity remaining before the intended date of travel.
The Task Force said applicants will undergo screening to establish their eligibility, including verification that they have been habitually resident in Sierra Leone for the six months immediately preceding the submission of their applications.
Payment Deadline
Successful applicants will be provided with payment instructions and directed to make deposits into designated Sierra Leone Commercial Bank accounts.
Payments will be accepted in either United States dollars or Sierra Leone leones, with the final deadline for completing payment set for Monday, November 16, 2026.
The Task Force has urged intending pilgrims to carefully follow the registration requirements and observe all deadlines.
