Freetown, May 15, 2025 – The Presidential Hajj Taskforce has announced a comprehensive two-day orientation for all intending pilgrims to the Holy Land of Makkah who have successfully completed the official registration and medical screening processes.
The orientation is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 21st, and Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, at the Presidential Hajj Taskforce Secretariat, Bank of Sierra Leone Complex, Kingtom, Freetown.
Key topics to be addressed during the orientation include:
* International travel procedures and requirements
* Hajj rituals, with practical demonstrations
* Expected conduct and decorum during the pilgrimage, along with shared insights and guidance
The orientation is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that pilgrims are fully prepared for the spiritual journey and are well-versed in both the religious and logistical aspects of the pilgrimage.
The announcement was made by Sheikh Dyphan A. Massaquoi, Head of Operations & Support Services of the Presidential Hajj Taskforce, and fully endorsed by the Taskforce Chairman, Alhaji Murtada Mohammed Sesay.
The Government of Sierra Leone, through the Taskforce, continues to reaffirm its commitment to providing a smooth and well-organized Hajj experience for all participants.
