Freetown is set to host one of its biggest cultural showcases yet, as the One Nation Reggae Festival announces six days of music, heritage and Caribbean–Salone cultural fusion from 25–30 November 2025.
The festival, rooted in reggae’s global reputation as a voice of resistance and unity, brings together top local artists such as Cosko-B and members of the Reggae Union with international stars including Sizzle Kalonji, Christopher Martin, Queen Ifrica, Jah Thunder, Arqane and Danny Bless.
Festivities will officially open on 25 November at 2:00 p.m. at the Bintumani Hotel, ushering in a week-long programme that blends live performances, historical reflection and community engagement.
On 26 November, the Freedom Heritage Tour will take participants from Freetown to Kent between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., offering an immersive exploration of resilience sites and shared stories that link Sierra Leone and the Caribbean.
A Creative Clinic for emerging and established artists is scheduled for 27 November at the Bintumani Hotel, running from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., providing mentorship and collaborative opportunities.
The festival’s main attraction — the Reggae Festival Concert — will light up the Radisson Blu Garden on 28 November from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., featuring back-to-back performances from both local and international acts.
On 29 November, festival-goers will unwind at Mozza Beach Resort starting at noon for a relaxed Brunch, Bonfire and Storytelling experience.
The celebration concludes on 30 November with an All-White Heritage Celebration at Bunce Island, honouring shared histories and cultural connections across the Atlantic.
Organisers say the festival aims to strengthen artistic collaboration, celebrate identity and deepen cultural bonds between Sierra Leone and the Caribbean through music, memory and heritage.
