Freetown, June 17, 2025 — Acting on credible intelligence from concerned residents, the Harbour Police Division led a successful raid in the Bagdad area of Moeba Community on Monday, June 16.
The operation was spearheaded by ASP Francis M. Tommy and his team.
During the operation, officers discovered an unfinished house that had long been a point of suspicion among locals. The structure was believed to serve as a meeting spot for criminal activities, including theft and drug use, notably kush smoking.
In a swift response, police dismantled and burned the makeshift roof of the building, aiming to disrupt ongoing illicit activities and send a strong message that criminal behavior will not be tolerated.
Community members have expressed appreciation for the police action, noting a renewed sense of safety and relief following the operation.
ASP Tommy emphasized the ongoing commitment of the police to crack down on criminal hideouts and urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperative in the fight against crime.
