In a ceremony held at the New City Council Hall in Freetown, the Honorable Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, inaugurated the newly elected SLPP Western Area Counselors yesterday.
The event marked an important step towards fostering inclusiveness, service delivery, and accountability in the region.
Addressing the newly elected counselors, Dr. Jalloh expressed his gratitude for their efforts in re-electing President Bio and congratulated them on their victory.

Discussing the achievements of the New Direction Government from 2018 to 2023, Dr. Jalloh commended the strides made in education, healthcare, electricity access, and infrastructure development.
He praised the reduction in maternal mortality rates, the recruitment of teachers and healthcare workers, and the successful implementation of various projects.
The Vice President urged the counselors to align their efforts with the Big Five Game Changers, working in partnership with key ministries and offices, including health, energy, lands, economic development, local government, and the office of the President.
Dr. Jalloh described counselors as crucial individuals who possess a deep understanding of their communities. He stressed that their contributions would play a pivotal role in achieving the government’s goals, including job creation and project implementation.
