Freetown, April 1, 2025 – The Government of Sierra Leone, through the Ministry of Trade and Industry, has announced new transportation-adjusted retail prices for cement following discussions with key stakeholders in the transport and trade sectors.
The decision was reached after a collaborative meeting between the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, the Sierra Leone Drivers Union, and the Sierra Leone Transport Owners Association.
The updated prices, effective immediately, reflect transportation costs across different districts in the country.
“The government is committed to ensuring fair pricing and stability in the cement market,” the Ministry of Trade and Industry stated. “This review takes into account the cost of transportation, and we urge all stakeholders to comply with these agreed prices.”
