The Sierra Leone Police have arrested three suspects with substantial amounts of cannabis sativa and kush in raid conducted at Teko Barracks.
The arrested were made as part of the North East Region, particularly Makeni in the fight against the circulation of harmful drugs.
According to Police reports, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, acting on a tip-off from a reliable source, the proactive and operational regional officer, ASP Ghanawa Turay, and his team, under the supervision of the capable Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Victor Manfred Williams, conducted a targeted raid at Teko Barracks Phase 2, Bottom Mango.
During the operation, the team successfully arrested three suspects: Adama Conteh, Abdulai Bah, and Isaac Daniel Tommy, all residents of Teko Barracks Phase 2, Bottom Mango.
Authorities seized a significant quantity of drugs, including:
– A large amount of cannabis sativa (commonly known as Jamba)
– 476 wraps of cannabis sativa
– One ounce of kush
– Two sachets of kush
– 220 wraps of kush
The suspects and the seized drugs have been transported to the Regional Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
