Sierra Leone is gearing up to host Liberian President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, who is scheduled to visit the country on November 18, 2024.
The visit is being marked as a significant event, with preparations underway to showcase Sierra Leone’s rich cultural heritage.
The Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs has announced plans for a grand cultural reception at the border to honor President Boakai’s arrival.
According to a memo from Permanent Secretary Sahr E. Mondeh, traditional dance troupes will perform as part of the festivities.
Local leaders, including Paramount Chiefs in the Pujehun District, have been tasked with mobilizing their communities to participate actively in the welcoming ceremony.
The initiative aims to strengthen ties between the two neighboring nations and celebrate their shared cultural connections.
