Leone Stars concluded their final training session on Sunday 10th September, 2023, at the Estadio Nacional de Guine-Bissau ahead of their final AFCON qualifying fixture against Guinea Bissau on Monday 11th, September, at 4pm.
Assistant Coach, Amidu Karim said that for the past few weeks, they have been preparing for this important match, describing this fixture as ‘crucial’ for Leone Stars as they prepare for the World Cup Qualifiers.
“For the players, we have done everything in terms of techniques, skills and physical fitness in their previous trainings.
On the Guinea Bissau team, Karim noted: “We have done our homework to find out about the team. A very good side with a lot of professionals. We are not afraid of them.
“To the Government of H.E. JMB, we highly appreciate, and the only way we can express our gratitude to him is to win this match by God’s grace.”

The training was witnessed by the Minister of Sports, NSA Board Chairman, NSA Boss and team, SLFA VP and team, Sports Ambassador, and Sports Journalists.
