In a startling revelation at today’s Government Weekly Press Briefing, Inspector General of Police William Fayia Sellu has officially declared Ernest Bai Koroma as a suspect in connection to the crimes surrounding the November 26th attempted coup.
Contrary to initial assumptions, Koroma is not just assisting the police with inquiries but is now a prime focus of their investigation.
“As long as we have administered a caution on you, based on the constitution, at the Police Station, you are a suspect,” IGP Sellu stated.
Despite his status as a former president, Koroma has not been incarcerated like other treason suspects. Instead, he is under strict confinement within his residence in Goderich, as confirmed by the Police IG during the briefing.
The decision to restrict Koroma’s movements reflects the gravity of the allegations against him.
In a related development, the police have widened their net of suspects, announcing that Madam Danke Koroma, the daughter of Ernest Bai Koroma residing in London, is now wanted in connection with the failed coup.
She is implicated as one of the alleged coup plotters, intensifying the investigation into the unfolding events surrounding this shocking revelation.
