In an official communication from the Office of the Registrar, it has been revealed that Professor Lawrence Kamara is set to take the helm as the Acting Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Sierra Leone.
The appointment was conveyed through a letter from the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education dated 11th December 2023.
The newly appointed Professor Lawrence Kamara steps into this crucial role following the tenure of Professor Foday Sahr, who has been entrusted with the position of Executive Director of the recently established National Public Health Agency.
Brima Bah, the Acting Registrar at the University of Sierra Leone, expressed gratitude to Professor Sahr for his dedicated service to the university during his term as Vice-Chancellor and Principal.
In the same breath, congratulations were extended to Professor Kamara, coupled with well-wishes for a prosperous tenure as the head of the esteemed institution.
