In the early hours of this morning, heavy rainfall caused the collapse of a building near Orphanage School on Mellon Street, leaving two people dead and one seriously injured.
The injured victim was rescued by officers from the Congo Water police post after being swept away by floodwaters.
Efforts are currently underway by local residents to recover the bodies.
The two deceased individuals, identified as Alhaji Bah and Samba G. Conteh, 21, were found near Orphanage Church.
