Sierra Leone Premier League Champions BO Rangers FC has announced that disciplinary measures will be taken against several players, including national team striker Musa N Kamara popularly known as Musa Tombo, who is currently in Zambia for an AFCON qualifier.
Kamara, alongside Anthony Chindeu Udeh, Ibrahim Turay, Suffian Kalokoh, and Abu Komeh, has been identified as having participated in the unauthorized Mami Koker League.
As part of the disciplinary action, the club will withhold the players’ salaries for the month of September.
The management stressed the importance of adhering to club rules and maintaining the integrity of the organization, warning that further consequences will follow for those who violate established guidelines.
In the recently completed Sierra Leone Premier League season, Musa Tombo etched his name in the annals of Sierra Leonean football by winning two top awards in a single night.
In a standout season, Tombo claimed the Golden Boot for the third time, underscoring his consistent excellence and goal-scoring prowess. His tally of 15 goals, which included two hat-tricks, was instrumental in driving Ports Authority FC’s success.
Adding to his accolades, Tombo was honored as both the Best Attacker and the Player of the Season for the 2023-2024 Leone Rock Premier League. These awards highlight his significant impact on the field.
