Four female police officers have received prestigious awards at the Passing Out Ceremony conducted today Saturday 11th November 2023 at the Sierra Leone Peacekeeping and Law Enforcement Academy, formerly known as Police Training School (PTS).
The four awards were categorized as follows:
1. Best Drill,
2. Top Shot,
3. Best Behaved, and
4. Best All Round Recruit
PC 23157 Jeneba Kallon received the award for Best Drill. PC 22531 Patience Musa received the award for Top Shot.
Haja Kamara received the award for Best Behaved, and PC 22206 Sia Jabba received the award for Best All Round Recruit.
In his address to the 1,100 police personnel that formed up for the R1 2023 Passing Out Parade, the Inspector General of Police Mr. William Fayia Sellu gladly congratulated the newly trained personnel for making it through the rigorous training of becoming professional police officers.
He quickly informed all personnel about the zero-tolerance policy on the intake and abuse of illicit drugs. “…there is no sacred cow under my watch,” Mr. Sellu stated.
After the excellent parade performance of the Presidential Platoon, which was followed by both the Slow and Quick Match Parade, the colourful ceremony came to an end with family relatives of both the four female officers that clinched the various prestigious awards and the rest of the graduands in joyful celebration.
