Freetown, Sierra Leone – June 23, 2025 – Ahmad Basha, a 57-year-old businessman and Chief Executive Officer of the popular Basha Restaurant in Freetown, has been taken into police custody amid serious allegations involving the exploitation of underage girls.
According to police sources, Basha is accused of unlawfully harbouring three 15-year-old girls at his private residence in Freetown.
The girls were reportedly kept in the house for an entire week, during which they allegedly engaged in sexual acts and drug use.
Basha is currently detained at Aberdeen Police Station for further questioning. Authorities have not yet disclosed whether formal charges have been filed.
