MONROVIA, Liberia – Sierra Leone’s national team, the Leone Stars, are set to face hosts Liberia on Tuesday evening in the second leg of an international friendly series, aiming to build on their narrow 1-0 victory from the first encounter in Bo.
The match is scheduled for Tuesday, 9 June 2026, at 6:30 PM at the S.K.D. Sports Complex in Monrovia.
On Monday, the Leone Stars held an energetic training session at the same venue, sharpening their tactics in a lively atmosphere. The session was attended by top officials from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), signaling strong institutional backing for the team.
Among those present were SLFA First Vice President Alie Badara Tarawallie, Second Vice President Prince Saquee, Minister of Sports Augusta James-Teima, and SLFA Executive Committee Member and Leader of Delegation Kweku Melvin Lisk Esq.
As training concluded, Minister James-Teima and Vice President Tarawallie addressed the players and technical staff, delivering motivational messages and reaffirming the full support of the Sierra Leone government and its citizens.
The team is also adjusting to new leadership on the technical bench. Newly appointed head coach Didier Gomes Da Rosa used the session to begin building rapport with the players and his coaching team, bringing fresh ideas and energy into the setup.
With momentum from the first-leg win, Sierra Leone will be looking to secure a positive result on Liberian soil and end the series on a high note.
