Waterloo Police have swiftly intervened in a tragic incident at 555 Junction, Lumpa, Waterloo, resulting in the rescue of a 25-year-old commercial vehicle driver, Sahid Kamara, from an enraged mob.
Sahid Kamara was accused of fatally stabbing fellow commercial vehicle driver, Almamy Kamara, during a heated dispute over a manual/button mobile phone.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the deceased had pawned his mobile phone to the suspect, Sahid Kamara, two years ago for a sum of forty leones (new currency), which was never repaid.
According to the Police report, the confrontation escalated, and Sahid allegedly used a spanner to stab Almamy Kamara in the chest, tragically leading to his death.
The body of the deceased has been transported to Connaught Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination, while Sahid Kamara is currently in custody cooperating with the police investigation.
