A joint team of personnel from the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) and the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) has arrested two suspected drug dealers at the Mile 38 Checkpoint.
The operation, which took place on Monday, 16 February 2026, led to the interception of a vehicle with registration number AZB–920.
The vehicle was reportedly driven by Mohamed Sesay of Peninsula Road, Banga Farm, and accompanied by Abdul Musa, a resident of Freetown.
During a search of the vehicle, security personnel discovered a quantity of substances suspected to be Kush, along with other drug-related materials.
Both suspects, together with the exhibits, have been handed over to the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) for further investigation.
