On September 24, 2024, police at the Wanjàma Police Checkpoint arrested three individuals for unlawful drug possession.
During a routine vehicle inspection at the checkpoint, officers stopped a vehicle with the registration number ALI 888.
A thorough search of the vehicle uncovered illicit substances, leading to the apprehension of the suspects: Mariama Sesay, a resident of RTI; Mariama Kamara, hailing from Shegbwema; and Shiaka Momoh from Mbambao Village.
The suspects are currently cooperating with police as investigations continue.
