Conakry, Guinea – Authorities have confirmed the arrest of Sulaiman Jalloh, the prime suspect in the brutal stabbing of his colleague, Mohamed Lamrana Barrie.
Jalloh, who had been on the run, was apprehended in neighboring Guinea following a widely shared social media alert. He is expected to be extradited to Sierra Leone today to face justice.
The incident, which involved Jalloh allegedly stabbing Barrie in the throat, sparked public outrage and a swift cross-border manhunt. Law enforcement agencies are now preparing to charge the suspect as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, concerns have emerged over whether the case will be handled transparently. Some observers fear that ethnic ties between the two men could influence the legal process, potentially leading to an out-of-court settlement.
Mohamed Lamrana Barrie remains in critical condition and is receiving treatment at the Chinese Government Hospital in Jui. Medical staff report that he is still fighting for his life.
Thank you very much for the Sierra Leone police department and the social media published,
