Kambia District, January 30, 2025 — Acting on a tip-off from a concerned citizen, police seized twenty compressed bales containing dried leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa at the Wanadara Security Crossing Point in Bramaia Chiefdom, Kambia District, at approximately 10:00 AM today.
The operation was carried out swiftly by the Northwest Regional Operations team, under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Sinneh Bangura, in conjunction with the Kambia Police Division Operations team.
Following the intelligence received, officers conducted a thorough search of the area and successfully recovered the abandoned bales.
The seized items have been taken as exhibits and transported to the Northwest Regional Police Headquarters for further investigation. No suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.
