FREETOWN, Sierra Leone – In a devastating incident along the Freetown-Moyamba highway, a vehicle within the presidential convoy was involved in a deadly crash, resulting in the loss of four Operational Support Division (OSD) officers.
Authorities have verified that the accident occurred while the convoy was en route, with the affected vehicle transporting the OSD Director.
The victims have been identified as Officer Spanner from the 22 Squad, Foday Korama and Mustapha Kamara both from the 15 Squad, and Sergeant Alie from the 12 Squad.
Fortunately, the OSD Director emerged unharmed from the ordeal. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
