Freetown, Sierra Leone – The Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, Conrad Sackey, has extended his congratulations to Rising Academy Waterloo for being named in the Top 3 for T4 Education’s World’s Best School Prize in the Overcoming Adversity category.
In a statement issued today, the Minister praised the school for its resilience and dedication.

“We are deeply grateful to His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio for the Free Quality Education initiative. Your visionary leadership has been instrumental in transforming our education system and providing opportunities for every child in Sierra Leone,” he noted.
Sierra Leone has made significant strides in education through its Radical Inclusion policy, which aims to ensure that every child has access to learning opportunities.
“Sierra Leone is leading the way by innovating, investing, and extending education,” Sackey added.
The Minister emphasized that Rising Academy’s recognition on a global platform highlights the power of education in overcoming challenges.
“Together, we are proving that no challenge is too great. Rising Academy’s journey demonstrates the power of education to overcome adversity, and we are so proud of this global recognition.”
