Sierra Leone’s ulius Maada Bio and his delegation have arrived at the Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. The President has been scheduled to speak with Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of IMF.
He will also engage Ambassador Molly Phee, Assistant Secretary of State, Bureu of African Affairs – U.S. State Department.
A galaxy of United States Government Trade and Investment Agencies will meet with President Bio on a Roundtable at Faimont Hotel in Washington, D.C. On the Rountable with the President include Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, Foreign Affairs Minister Alhaji Musa Timnothy Kabbah, Finance Minister Sheku A.F. Bangura, Minister of Agriculture Dr. Musa Kpaka, Minister of Energy, and the Ambassador of Sierra Leone to the United States, Ambassador Sidique Abou-Bakarr Wai.
Sierra Leone’s delegation headed by the Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh will have a separate engagement with John Tomaswski (JT), and Professional Staff members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee at Room 423 Dirksen Senate Office Building.
The President of Sierra Leone will depart for United Nations General Assembly in New York on Saturday, 21st September, 2024. In New York, President Bio will have a One-on-One with Congressional Ranking Member Gregory Meeks, and Rev. Al Sharpton.
His Excellency and his delegation were received at Dulles International Airport by Minister of Finance, Sheku Fantamadi Bangura, Ambassador Sidique Wai, Ambassador of Sierra Leone to the United States, Ambassador Mohammed Barrie, Ambassador of Sierra Leone to Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Amara Sowa, Sierra Leone’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Consul General George Hamilton -Miami, and Head of Chancery at the Embassy of Sierra Leone in Washington, D.C , Rakie Macarthy.
