Leone Stars captain, Steven Caulker, has officially inked a groundbreaking player and coach deal with FC Malaga City Academy, a prominent Spanish fifth-tier football club.
Caulker has swiftly immersed himself in his new role, actively contributing to the first-team squad. Come 2024, he is poised to extend his influential mentorship across the entire academy.
In an exclusive statement, Caulker shared his excitement about this career milestone: “After an extensive job search and countless sleepless nights, I am thrilled to announce that I have finally found my path. Starting January, I will be taking on the dual responsibility as the joint player-manager of FC Malaga City Academy in the 5th tier of Spanish Football.”
He expressed his long-standing aspiration to transition into a managerial role, revealing, “I have been harboring the desire to become a manager for quite some time now, and I am pleased to share that I have recently obtained my UEFA B license.”
