In a significant development, Mr. Mohamed K Konneh, Chief Electoral Commissioner and Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL), has secured the presidency of the ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions (ECONEC).
The election, held today on November 21, 2023, in Abidjan, marks Mr. Konneh’s ascendancy from the position of second Vice President within ECONEC.
Expressing gratitude for the collective trust and strong support, he pledges to dedicate himself passionately to selfless service for the betterment of West Africa and ECONEC.
“I am deeply grateful for the collective trust, strong confidence and support of our colleagues for electing me as President of the Network. It is yet another call for selfless service to West Africa and the ECONEC, to which I will passionately devote myself,” Konneh stated.
Apart from being Commissioner of ECSL, Mohamed Kenewui Konneh, is a human and material resources managerial expert that has over 20 years of extensive practical and strategic experience in investigating corruption, procurement fraud, money laundering, management and administration and promoting good governance at national (Sierra Leone) and regional levels (Africa).
