Freetown, Sierra Leone Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio, has made significant appointments to key national institutions aimed at bolstering governance and development.
In a public notice issued on January 15, 2025, the following individuals were named to prominent positions:
1. Mr. Abu-Bakarr S. Foray-Musa as Director-General of the National Lands Commission.
2. Rev. Shodanke Johnson as Chairman of the Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion.
3. Mr. Sheikh Mustapha Bawoh as Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
4. Mr. Thomas M. Labai as Chairman of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority.
5. Mr. Jasper Sembie as Chief Operating Officer of the Directorate of Science and Technology.
The appointments were confirmed in a statement signed by Dr. Emmanuel A.R. Garma, Secretary to the President, from State House, Freetown.
