Freetown, 12th June 2026 – A massive Le100 million reward (100,000 New Leones) is being offered to anyone who provides credible information leading to the safe return of a baby who went missing from the Special Care Baby Unit at the Ola During Children’s Hospital and Princess Christian Maternity Hospital (ODCH/PCMH) in Freetown on Friday, 6th June 2025.
The baby’s disappearance shocked the nation and has since sparked an ongoing investigation led by the Sierra Leone Police and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), in partnership with hospital authorities.
Now, the Sierra Leone Nurses Association (SLNA) and the Sierra Leone Midwives Association (SLMA)—working with the hospital—have announced this Le100 million incentive to encourage the public to come forward with any helpful information.
All tips will be kept strictly confidential, and the identity of any informant will be protected.
The reward can be paid through Cash, Orange Money, Africell Money, or Bank Transfer, depending on the informant’s preference.
