The elder brother of Augusta Onuwabhagbe, who was allegedly murdered by her Nigerian boyfriend, Benjamin Nnanyereugo, known as “Killaboi,” has shared the gripping tale of the fugitive’s capture in Freetown.
The brother, a prominent figure on the microblogging platform X, had maintained a conspicuous silence since his sister’s tragic demise at the hands of Killaboi. However, he finally spoke out on Sunday, confirming the swirling rumors concerning Killaboi’s apprehension.
He disclosed that their relentless pursuit of Killaboi, grounded in actionable intelligence, culminated in the fugitive’s arrest at a nightclub.
Expressing the challenges faced in bringing Killaboi to justice, Augusta’s brother acknowledged that he had fulfilled his part and now entrusted the matter to the appropriate authorities.
His tweet read as follows:
“I’ve spent the last week in Freetown, Sierra Leone. We were in contact with the Law Enforcement Agencies in Sierra Leone to set up ways to apprehend Ben. We knew where he slept, we knew where he ate, we trailed him until they were able to apprehend him last night.
I’ve looked for him everywhere, from Accra to Abidjan, and luck brought him to my path in Freetown. Through the efforts of the Sierra Leonean authorities, we’ve finally been able to apprehend him. We hope the Nigerian Police force works fast to extradite him to face his crimes.”
