In a significant event at the Sierra Leone Peacekeeping and Law Enforcement Academy (SILEA), Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh oversaw the graduation of 1,100 Sierra Leone Police recruits on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
Addressing the Squad R1 2023 Recruits in a ceremony attended by enthusiastic parents, relatives, friends, and well-wishers, VP Juldeh Jalloh emphasized the crucial role the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) plays in maintaining peace, fostering development, and upholding democracy in the country.
During his speech, the Chairman of the Police Council assured the recruits that President Julius Maada Bio is committed to supporting the SLP, emphasizing improvements in welfare, mobility capacity, and training.
Vice President Jalloh also highlighted the government’s unwavering stance against illicit substances, particularly mentioning the fight against Kush in the country.
He outlined a comprehensive approach, combining law enforcement measures targeting peddlers with psycho-social support for victims.
