Freetown, Sierra Leone – The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, on Thursday, September 18, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Freetown, where he met with Ambassador Ali Ibrahim Alhaji to explore opportunities for bilateral cooperation in football development.
Discussions during the meeting focused on youth football academies, the construction of modern playing facilities, and exchange programs for coaches, referees, and administrators.
Ambassador Alhaji welcomed the initiative, assuring the Embassy’s readiness to support efforts that would lead to a lasting and mutually beneficial partnership. He also pledged to visit the SLFA Secretariat soon to deepen collaboration.
As part of the engagement, the Ambassador invited President Kamara and his delegation to attend Saudi Arabia’s 95th National Day celebrations on September 23 at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel.
The meeting ended with Ambassador Alhaji presenting a golden symbol of the famous Makkah Clock Tower to the SLFA President, who was accompanied by Acting General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bawoh.
