Tragedy struck yesterday on the New York–Waterloo Highway as three individuals lost their lives in a fatal road accident.
Several others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Rokupa Government Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as devastating, with wreckage scattered across the road and victims in critical condition.
Residents have expressed growing concern over the high number of accidents along this stretch of road, describing it as a “death trap” that continues to claim lives regularly.
Authorities have yet to release the identities of the victims or the cause of the accident, but investigations are ongoing.
