Personnel from the Eastern Police Division have arrested six individuals for unlawful possession of a large quantity of suspected narcotics during an intelligence-led operation in Freetown.
The operation, conducted at No. 2 Fourah Bay Road, resulted in the arrest of Taio John, Mayor Azan and Ola Aza, all residents of Fourah Bay Road, as well as Alpha Bah and Musa Bah, both of Frederick Street, Freetown.
According to reports, officers recovered 785 wraps of a white powder and loose substance suspected to be cocaine.
The suspects have been transferred, along with the exhibits, to the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) for further investigation.
