The Sierra Leone national football team have completed their final preparations this evening ahead of their crucial 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match against Chad.
The game is set for tomorrow, November 13, at the Stade de Epimbe in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, with kick-off at 7:00 PM local time.
The return of legendary Major League Soccer (MLS) scorer Kei Kamara has added a boost to Sierra Leone’s campaign, as he joins experienced captain Steven Caulker in leading the team.
The presence of these two seasoned players has brought a renewed sense of determination and momentum within the squad, lifting the team’s spirits and raising hopes of securing a qualification spot for the AFCON tournament in Morocco early next year.
Head Coach Amidu Karim expressed his satisfaction with the team’s match situation training session, noting that every member of the squad is fully fit and motivated.
“Our boys are ready and motivated to give their best. The energy and cohesion in the camp are remarkable, and I’m confident in what they can achieve on the field tomorrow,” Coach Karim said after the session.
As the countdown to kick-off continues, Sierra Leone fans are hopeful that the partnership between Kamara and Caulker will strengthen the team’s chances against Chad, in what promises to be a thrilling encounter on the road to AFCON 2024.
