State House, Freetown, Sierra Leone, 6th February 2025 – Six newly appointed Ambassadors presented their letters of credence to His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio in a formal ceremony held at State House on Thursday, 6th February 2025, marking the commencement of their diplomatic missions in Sierra Leone.
The distinguished diplomats included H.E. Mr. Yusuf Burak Rende, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Türkiye; H.E. Dr. Senator Kwabla Yawlui, High Commissioner-Designate of the Republic of Ghana; H.E. Mr. Baisnab Charan Pradhan, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of India; H.E. Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Pankyu Kim, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Korea; H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Yoshimoto, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Japan; and H.E. Mr. Luc Briard, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of France.
President Bio warmly welcomed the diplomats and reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s dedication to fostering meaningful partnerships that advance mutual interests. He emphasized the critical role of diplomacy in promoting peace, development, and economic growth.
