In a recent development, Mohamed Kallon, the owner and head coach of FC Kallon Football Club, has openly expressed his sentiments concerning decisions made by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) executive members.
Kallon, a former captain of the Leone Stars, was once viewed by the SLFA as a potential head of the national football team.
He reminisced about the time when the SLFA recognized his leadership potential, saying, “They saw a leader in me.” However, he acknowledged differences in terms and conditions between himself and the association, acknowledging that such disparities are a part of life, encompassing both setbacks and victories.
“Initially, SLFA deemed me fit and, beyond all reasonable doubts, saw a leader in me. However, our terms and conditions differed. Although we couldn’t meet at a juncture, it is important we know it is part of life’s journey to lose some and win some,” he stated.
Despite recent disappointments, Kallon remains optimistic about future opportunities and his enduring passion for supporting his homeland, especially in the sports sector.
He emphasized his belief that every decision made is in the best interest of the country. Kallon trusts that the recent turn of events is part of a divine plan that will ultimately lead to greater achievements for both himself and Sierra Leone.
Furthermore, Mohamed Kallon extended his best wishes to the newly appointed technical team, including Amidu Karim, Francis Zappa Koroma, and Alhaji Foray (Abedi).
He expressed hope that they would bring success and honor during their tenure and urged everyone to prioritize the nation’s interests.
In closing, Kallon passionately emphasized his unwavering love and commitment to Sierra Leone, saying, “Make we put SALONE first.” This statement signifies his dedication to the nation and its betterment.
