The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced the appointment of Mr. Umaru Bah as the new Team Manager of the Leone Stars, the Sierra Leone National Senior Men’s Football Team.
The decision was made by the SLFA Executive Committee, highlighting Bah’s extensive experience and accomplishments in football management.
“Mr. Bah brings a wealth of experience to this role,” said Ibrahim Kamara, SLFA’s Head of Media and Marketing. “His proven track record, especially during his tenure as Team Manager for the Sierra Leone National Home-Based Team, makes him an invaluable addition to the Leone Stars.”
Currently serving as the CEO of Real Republicans Football Club, Bah is widely recognized for his leadership and commitment.
His previous work with the national home-based team has been described as instrumental in their successes, setting the stage for his new responsibilities with the senior squad.
Mr. Bah will officially begin his duties immediately after Leone Stars’ upcoming AFCON Qualifiers against Chad on September 6th and Zambia on September 10th.
The SLFA expressed confidence in Bah’s ability to drive the team forward.
“Umaru Bah’s expertise and dedication are exactly what we need as we aim for excellence on both the continental and global stage,” Kamara added.
The appointment marks a significant step for the Leone Stars as they continue their journey to enhance their presence in international football.
