Veteran Sierra Leonean striker Kei Kamara has shared heartwarming moments with his children and football legends Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets after FC Cincinnati’s emphatic 3-0 win over Inter Miami in Major League Soccer on Wednesday night.
Kamara, who started the game and played for 60 minutes before being substituted, took to social media after the match to reflect on the memorable encounter — not just for himself, but especially for his children.
“I love this part of fatherhood, when I get to live their dreams with them,” Kamara wrote. “Ok, @kamarababies were acting all cool and calm, but as soon as Messi walked away, they FREAKED OUT when they realized what just happened — ‘MESSI, we just met MESSI’!!!!!!!”

The 39-year-old forward, clearly emotional, admitted the experience gave him chills. “I’m getting goosebumps just writing this. I remember seeing my teammates with their kids around locker rooms and stadiums, so I imagined these experiences, but I didn’t see these type of memories coming,” he reflected.
Kamara also expressed gratitude to the Inter Miami stars for their time, writing, “Thanks guys @leomessi @jordialbaoficial @5sergiob.”
He ended his post with “Alhamdulilah,” giving thanks for the moment.
Wednesday’s victory strengthened FC Cincinnati’s position as one of the MLS title contenders this season, but for Kamara, the night will be remembered not just for the win — but for the unforgettable smiles on his children’s faces.
