Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Fatima Maada Bio, has arrived in Washington, D.C. to participate in the Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition Summit, following an invitation from Melania Trump.
According to a statement shared online, the summit will bring together First Ladies, global leaders, and technology partners to promote collaboration aimed at improving opportunities for children and young people through education, innovation, and digital development.
The First Lady is expected to engage in discussions with international partners at meetings scheduled to take place at the United States Department of State and the White House.
Dr. Bio indicated that Sierra Leone will use the platform to share its experiences and explore partnerships that can help expand access to education and technology for young people.
The summit is focused on strengthening global cooperation to ensure children have the skills and opportunities needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
