Freetown, Sierra Leone – The Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE), Conrad Sackey, has announced that the results of the 2024 National Primary School Examination (NPSE) will be released later this week.
The announcement was made through a social media post on Monday.
“I am pleased to inform the public that the much-anticipated results of the National Primary School Examination (NPSE) 2024 will be released this week,” Minister Sackey stated.
He went on to highlight the significance of the exams, which were held on May 4, 2024, for students across the country.
Minister Sackey also took the opportunity to commend the efforts of pupils, teachers, and parents.
“I want to commend the pupils, teachers, and parents for their dedication, hard work, and forbearance throughout this period,” he added.
The 2024 NPSE saw over 164,000 pupils from across Sierra Leone participating. A total of 83,523 girls and 80,855 boys were registered to sit for the exams, which took place at 310 centers nationwide.
The NPSE is a critical exam for primary school students in Sierra Leone, as it determines their transition from primary school to junior secondary school.
Minister Sackey urged the public to “stay tuned for the official release date and further details,” and encouraged continued support for the country’s young learners as they progress in their educational journey.
The official release of the results is expected to be followed closely by students and parents, marking an important milestone in the academic calendar.
