FREETOWN – Credible reports confirm that Dr. Adrian Hanciles, a medical doctor based in Freetown, has been found dead.
He was reported missing since Thursday, 3 September 2026 (about 7 days).
Sources say Sierra Leone Police contacted the family after news of his disappearance went viral on Wednesday evening.
Officers informed relatives that an unidentified body was being held at the Police Mortuary in Kingtom.
Police reportedly stated that the body had been recovered and was already in their custody for some time before the family was notified.
The circumstances surrounding Dr. Hanciles’ death remain unclear. No official cause of death has been released, and investigations are ongoing.
